Green Building Programs

LEED

Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), LEED provides building owners and operators with a framework for identifying and implementing measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions.

Green Globes®

Green Globes is a green building guidance and assessment program, much like USGBC's LEED. Green Globes offers an effective, practical and affordable way to advance the overall environmental performance and sustainability of commercial buildings.

Environmental Product Declarations

Sika Roofing has published product-specific environmental product declarations (EPD) for our Sarnafil S 327 and G 410 single-ply PVC roofing membranes, as well as our Sikaplan Adhered and Fastened single-ply PVC roofing membranes.

Energy Star®

Sika Sarnafil is proud to offer our customers products that have earned the government's ENERGY STAR label. We were one of the first single-ply membrane manufacturers to label roofing products under the U.S.  Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR Roof Products program.

NSF/ANSI 347

NSF/ANSI 347 is the leading consensus standard for evaluating and certifying sustainable attributes of single-ply roofing membranes over their entire product life cycle. Sika Sarnafil is the first manufacturer to achieve Platinum certification to the NSF/ANSI 347 roofing standard for our G 410 and S 327 roofing membranes.

California Title 24

Title 24, the Energy Efficiency Standards for Buildings section of the California Code of Regulations, was passed into law back in 1978. When the law was updated, effective on October 1, 2005, it was adapted to regulate energy efficiency for roofs throughout the state of California.
