Sika Corporation Introduces New Hybrid Roofing System

Sika Corporation – Roofing is excited to announce a new addition to its roof systems lineup – a hybrid roofing system for use over lightweight insulated concrete or a metal deck. This new hybrid system is ideal when a durable, multi-layered roof is desired without sacrificing the energy savings of a highly-reflective membrane.

The hybrid system utilizes our Sarnafil® G410 Feltback membrane and Sika supplied SBS modified bitumen products. The modified bitumen base sheet and sanded base ply can be used over lightweight insulated concrete, while the sanded base ply can be used over metal deck.

The integration of the PVC membrane and the asphaltic membranes into one roofing system provides specifiers and contractors with multi-layered, high-performance roofing solutions using superior materials that have proven their worth time and time again.

The Sarnafil G410 Feltback roof membrane is a heat-weldable, thermoplastic PVC membrane produced with an integral fiberglass mat reinforcement for excellent dimensional stability. It can be adhered to the sanded ply sheet with Sarnacol® OM Feltback Membrane Adhesive or Sarnacol AD Feltback Membrane Adhesive.

One of the major benefits of the Sika Hybrid Roofing System is that it offers system redundancy for critical applications thanks to its high-performance assembly, which is tested according to ASTM E 108 Class A fire test standards. The system is also eligible for Sika’s System Warranty up to 20 years.
