For the sixth consecutive year, Sika Sarnafil was once again proud and honored to sponsor the International Roofing Expo's Community Service Day.

Sika teamed up with Rebuilding Together New Orleans to revitalize a pair of home in the Algiers Riverview neighborhood, and though it was a gloomy February day, spirits were bright among the group of roofing industry volunteers.

Community Service Day, during which expo attendees volunteer on the homes of families that are elderly, disabled or financially unable to support critical home repairs, actually began in New Orleans back in 2009 following Hurricane Katrina.

“It’s always good to do something to help out,” said Stan Graveline, vice president of technical services at Sika Sarnafil. “And when you have this many skilled contractors together in one location, it makes perfect sense to give back in this way.”
