Bayer Museum of Agriculture - Lubbock, Texas

“We had considered a standing seam metal roof, but that was cost-prohibitive. The Décor system was definitely a more economical solution, especially in terms  of thermal values and durability. Plus it would give us the look we wanted.”

Milwaukee School of Engineering Soccer and Parking Facility - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

“We like working with Sika and the Sarnafil membrane because of our many years of experience with them. Plus, their representatives give us lots of help with details that we don’t always receive from other manufacturers. The crews like the weldability of the membrane, and how Sika delivers materials on time. Most of all, we like the performance and value of the Sarnafil membrane. We have many Sarnafil projects that are over 20 years old and we haven’t had any issues with any of them.”

Jasper High School - Jasper, Arkansas

“This was our first large RhinoBond installation and we loved it! We love the ease of the installation and how quickly we were able to install the membrane. This was especially true with the flute-filled metal roof – we were rocking and rolling through that!"

Jasper High Scool Rhinobond Sika Roof

Mercy Health-West Hospital - Cincinnati, Ohio

“Imagine looking out on a roof that has flowers and butterflies and birds instead of pavers and gravel. The roof is a dramatic way to provide patients and families with a view of something that is dynamic and alive. Leaders at the hospital receive lots of unsolicited praise about the roof as they make their rounds. It really does enhance the patient and family experience here."

- Mike Stephens, President and CEO of Mercy Health, West Market

Robbins Hall, University of California-Davis - Davis, California

“This roof has completely exceeded my expectations! I see other roofing systems that only last 15 or 18 years – but the Sarnafil roof on Robbins Hall has lasted almost twice as long as that. In fact, it is performing as well as some of the other new roofs on campus.”

Queenship of Mary Roman Catholic Church - Plainsboro, New Jersey

“At Queenship of Mary, we were looking for a long-term solution that would also look good. The Décor system is definitely what we were looking for in terms of aesthetics and performance. We are very happy with that decision because it solved our roofing problem and looks great."

- William Gittings, Principal of architectural firm Gittings Associates in Princeton, New Jersey

The Test of Time

Sika roofing has already passed it! In 2001, we set out to “quantify and qualify” how our oldest roofs in the United States were performing. We took test samples from 25 of our oldest roofs – located in all regions and from a variety of climates – and surveyed 70 building owners whose roofs were between 15 and 25 years old (average age was 16 years). Test results provided by the National Research Council in Canada confirmed that Sika’s high quality roof membranes can and do exhibit remarkable longevity and durability. Sarnafil Stands the Test of Time

Sika roofing revisited some of these older roof installations in 2010. Four different facilities featuring roofs with an average service length of more than 29 years were revisited, and found that they were all still performing admirably, leaving the facility managers quite pleased.
